- EXTENDED SYNOPSIS
Balika narra la historia de Dipendra y Sushmita, dos adolescentes que fueron abandonados por sus familias, como tantos otros niños, en un orfanato en Katmandú a causa de la extrema pobreza. Ambos tienen que tomar decisiones para las cuales no están preparados. Sushmita decide pasar sus primeras vacaciones en el orfanato sin su familia para poder estudiar. Dipendra emprende un largo viaje para reencontrarse con su padre y conocer a su familia y sus raíces.
BALIKA tells the story of Dipendra and Sushmita, two teenagers who live in an orphanage in Kathmandu. The protagonists, like all their friends, were abandoned by their families when they were little. During the film we will see how circumstances lead them to make certain decisions for which they are not prepared. Susmita will renounce her family in search of a better future for her and Dipendra will travel to the past in search of answers.
