Una furgoneta compartida en la que viajan un hombre y tres mujeres atropella a una turista asiática que camina en la oscuridad de una carretera secundaria. Tras subirla al vehículo para llevarla al hospital más cercano, comienzan a observar que tiene un comportamiento extraño.
Desde ese momento, los ocupantes de la vieja furgoneta no tardan en comprender que es hora de salvarse o morir y que tienen una regla clara: “No te sientes a su lado”.
