A través de la indagación de Eugenia Burgoyne, soprano lírica y protagonista absoluta del reestreno del Poema Lírico La venta de los gatos, vamos adentrándonos en el mundo mágico y casi nigromántico de la soprano Amparito Puerto, substancialpredecesorade Eugenia. La historia de Amparito Puerto y los agujeros de gusano se centra en la búsqueda del por que de un pasado en el que la doble vida se apodera de nuestra protagonista. Las iniciativas profesionales y vocaciones artísticas de AmparitoPuertoseven avocadas al más autentico de los fracasos como consecuencia de la situación social y el entorno político que condicionan su vida, sin embargo su estrecha relación con el inconsciente le abrirá una puerta hacia la huida que le permitirámantenerunadoble vida; una en España, otra en Argentina. La capacidad de Amparito para hacer pasar su vida por un delgado agujero de gusano que une los dos mundos le abrirá una puerta a formas de ser impropias de la mujer de la posguerra española.

Through the investigation of Eugenia Burgoyne, lyric soprano and star of the revival of the lyric poem ´The sale of cats´, we get into the magical and almost necromantic world of the soprano Amparito Puerto, Eugenia´s predecessor. The story of´AmparitoPuerto and the wormholes´ focuses on the reason of a past in which the double life takes hold of our protagonist. The professional initiatives and artistic vocations of Amparito Puerto were dooomed to failures, due to the social and politicalsituationthat affected her life. However her close relationship with the unconscious will open a door to escape, letting her maintain a double life, one in Spain, one in Argentina. Amparito´s capacity to pass her life for a thin wormhole which joins thetwoworlds will open the door to ways of being unworthy of the woman in the Spanish postwar period.
