El mar y la tierra son dos espacios a ser cultivados. Durante milenios quien los trabajaba como campesinos o marineros entregaba sus vidas a la supervivencia. Una dedicación que posibilitaba la auto-subsistencia, pero también era para ellos y ellas una entrega que hoy en día está más allá de las garantías económicas o físicas. La supervivencia hoy se ha convertido en una simbiosis relacional, aquella que les devuelve la posibilidad de repensarse con el planeta herido y lleno de problemáticas medio ambientales que habitan.
Las mariscadoras de un pequeño pueblo al sur de Galicia, se afanan cada día de marea por sementar, cavar y cuidar el umbral entre el agua del mar y la arena. Ese espacio en el que cultivar un fruto preciado, y también un espacio relacional que las une colectivamente, abriéndoles la posibilidad de los apoyos emocionales, morales, femeninos, afectivos y de conciencia trabajadora. Una nueva conciencia colectiva que emerge en ellas, intuyendo así que no solamente realizan un trabajo artesanal sino que son una red de afectos que transforma el mundo que habitan.

The sea and the land are two spaces to be cultivated. For millennia, those who worked them as peasants or sailors gave their lives to survival. A dedication that made self-subsistence possible, but it was also a dedication that today is beyond economic or physical guarantees. Nowadays survival has become a relational symbiosis, one that gives them back the possibility of rethinking themselves with the wounded planet full of environmental problems they inhabit. The shellfish gatherers of a small town in the south of Galicia (Spain), strive every day of the tide to sow, dig and take care of the threshold between the sea water and the sand. This space in which to cultivate a precious fruit, and also a relational space that unites them collectively, opening up the possibility of emotional, moral, feminine, affective support and working conscience. A new collective consciousness that emerges in them, intuiting that they not only carry out a craft work but that they are a network of affections that transforms the world they inhabit.
